Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced construction cost estimator to join our team. As a construction cost estimator, you will be responsible for preparing cost estimates, quantity take-offs, and pricing materials, labor, and equipment. You will also be required to obtain quotes from industry professionals, manufacturers, and vendors, and compile information into required estimate formats.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare cost estimates from conceptual levels of design through bid documents
  • Prepare detailed quantity take-off/surveys from drawings, plans, and specifications
  • Price materials, labor, and equipment
  • Obtain quotes from industry professionals, manufacturers, and vendors
  • Compile information into required estimate formats
  • On-site construction progress inspections
Requirements
  • Minimum five years of experience in construction cost estimating, construction project management, or related college degree
  • Ability to read and understand architectural drawings, specifications, RFPs, and related technical documents
  • Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), Adobe, Bluebeam or similar PDF editing software, Microsoft Project or Oracle Primavera P6, RSMeans
  • Ability to work under deadlines and prioritize projects accordingly
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Effective written and verbal communication with clients and owners

We offer a competitive salary range beginning at $60,000+ depending on experience, paid vacation, paid sick leave, vision insurance, life insurance, 401(k) plan with company contribution of 3%, and a health insurance stipend.
