Position Overview

Rusty Taco is seeking a dedicated Assistant Restaurant Manager for our fast-casual dining establishment. This role is essential for fostering a thriving work atmosphere, guiding and mentoring our team, ensuring high-quality food preparation, and enhancing customer satisfaction while contributing to the overall financial success of the restaurant.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in managing restaurant operations to meet financial targets, including revenue and cost control.
  • Engage with guests through table visits, demonstrating exemplary hospitality skills.
  • Address customer complaints effectively, investigating issues and implementing solutions.
  • Maintain a safe work environment to minimize the risk of accidents and injuries.
  • Comply with all food safety standards, including SERV Safe Alcohol, Food, and HACCP regulations, as well as local, state, and federal laws.
  • Ensure compliance with PCI standards for all credit card transactions.
  • Support the implementation of new company initiatives, policies, and procedures as needed.
  • Foster positive relationships within the team, ensuring mutual respect among all members.
  • Delegate tasks to team members during shifts and monitor their execution.
  • Participate in the recruitment and interview process to maintain a high-performing team.
  • Train and mentor team members to enhance their skills and performance.
  • Lead shift meetings to share information and gather input from team members.

Qualifications

  • Customer-focused with a strong commitment to service excellence.
  • Excellent verbal communication and active listening skills.
  • Self-motivated, capable of working both independently and collaboratively.
  • Ability to remain calm and professional in challenging situations.
  • Proficient in managing multiple tasks and deadlines with urgency and attention to detail.
  • Basic computer skills are required.
  • A minimum of one year of experience in the restaurant industry is required.
