As a Senior Associate specializing in reimbursement, you will engage in diverse tasks related to cost report preparation and consulting. The role may also encompass accounting or bookkeeping responsibilities if the candidate possesses relevant skills. Performance metrics will focus on the quality of work, application of reimbursement and accounting knowledge, and the ability to meet deadlines while ensuring exceptional client service. Experienced associates will lead cost report and consulting projects, collaborating with clients to achieve optimal outcomes. Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate closely with assigned clients in the healthcare sector, including nursing facilities and various healthcare providers.
  • Prepare Medicare and/or Medicaid cost reports using specialized software to ensure clients receive appropriate reimbursements in compliance with federal and state regulations.
  • Communicate effectively with clients and Medicare and/or Medicaid contractors through various channels.
  • Review financial statements, trial balances, and client data for accurate cost report preparation.
  • Generate reports summarizing the results of clients' cost reports.
  • Engage in reimbursement-related consulting projects.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in preparing Medicare and Medicaid cost reports is preferred, though candidates with less experience may be considered.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and Word.
