Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Radiation Oncology Physicist to join our team at Holy Cross Hospital in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. As a key member of our radiation oncology department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and effective delivery of radiation therapy to our patients.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the safety of radiation therapy equipment and procedures
- Assist radiation oncologists and radiation therapists with treatment planning and delivery
- Ensure that equipment is correctly set up and calibrated
- Develop and implement advanced cancer radiation treatment technologies
- Monitor and report on compliance with regulatory requirements and hospital policies
Requirements
- Current Therapeutic Radiological Physicist license from the State of Florida
- American Association of Physicist in Medicine (AAPM) Certification
- Master's degree in physics (M.S.)
- Ability to operate complex computerized equipment
- Previous management experience in a hospital radiation oncology department
