Key Responsibilities:
  • Underwrite, price, and negotiate accounts for Management Liability products, including Directors and Officers Liability, Employment Practices Liability, and Fiduciary Liability (ERISA)
  • Participate in product development, including coverage form creation, ratemaking, and underwriting guidelines
  • Monitor product results and develop ideas to increase productivity and profitability
  • Develop and maintain relationships with producers and agencies
  • Provide high-level service and conduct marketing visits with underwriters and admitted lines counterparts
  • Train and educate the CSU Underwriting team as a subject matter expert
  • Work collaboratively and independently with a high level of authority and judgment
Requirements:
  • 5-7 years of prior Management Liability underwriting experience with a carrier, broker, or MGA (preferred)
  • Candidates with a carrier background will be given preference
  • Bachelor's degree (or commensurate work experience)
  • RPLU, RPLU+, ASLI, or CPCU designation (preferred)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook (preferred)
