Description

Key Responsibilities:

As a key member of the YUSA Corporation team, the Purchasing Coordinator will play a crucial role in managing purchasing processes and competitive procurement global sourcing. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills and attention to detail to ensure efficient and cost-effective purchasing operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Represent YUSA in negotiating costing, lead times, and tooling with suppliers.
  • Issue and track RFQ packets to the current supply base.
  • Locate potential new vendors of materials or components and interview them to determine product availability and terms of sales.
  • Participate in the development of specifications for products or substitute materials.
  • Support the resolution of supplier grievances and claims against YUSA.
  • Support the creation and control of purchasing department budgets.
  • Review and evaluate costing and other specifications for awarding business.
  • Perform onsite assessments/audits at suppliers as needed.
  • Monitor supplier development activities to ensure supplier readiness.
  • Prepare and issue monthly reports for Sr. Management review and approval.
  • Support, communicate, reinforce, and defend the mission, values, and culture of YUSA.

Requirements:

Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field.

Experience:

  • Purchasing processes, Purchase Orders, and Procurement skills.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Experience in the automotive industry is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
