Position Overview


As a Water Treatment Technical Specialist, your role will encompass providing technical assistance, establishing and upholding engineering standards, and mentoring engineers.


We are looking for individuals who are enthusiastic about making a positive impact in the water-environmental sector, possessing a practical and constructive mindset.


While experience in the water industry is advantageous, particularly in wastewater treatment or engineering delivery processes, your eagerness to contribute to effective wastewater treatment solutions is what we value most.

Main Responsibilities
  • Deliver comprehensive technical and process support to all levels of the Siltbuster Group, both on-site and to clients.
  • Provide technical guidance and review non-routine tasks before transferring them to the workshop.
  • Assist in equipment specification and project preparation.
  • Ensure all documentation and technical files are current, including the preparation of SOPs, operational and maintenance manuals, commissioning plans, and technical bulletins for both standard equipment and projects.
  • Actively contribute to the development and execution of technical training plans for new engineers, sales personnel, and external agents/customers.
  • Maintain effective communication and assist colleagues as needed, promoting the interests of the Siltbuster Group as a whole.
  • Help develop video tutorials and standard operating procedures.
Qualifications and Experience


To excel in this position, candidates should demonstrate:

  • Engineering qualifications (Mechanical, Electrical, Environmental) at HNC level or higher.
  • Experience in technical writing, particularly in creating SOPs, RAMS, commissioning plans, technical bulletins, and O&M manuals within the water treatment or related industries (desirable).
  • A strong understanding of water treatment processes, equipment, and systems, along with knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • A basic understanding of ISO 14001 and 9001:2015 standards and relevant health, safety, and environmental legislation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of conveying complex technical information clearly to diverse audiences.
  • The ability to think creatively and maintain a positive, proactive attitude.
  • Good technical report writing abilities.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the capacity to prioritize tasks and solve problems effectively.
  • Proficiency in using Office Suite and technical documentation software/tools.
  • The capability to manage multiple projects simultaneously as business needs arise.
  • Relevant industry experience in water/wastewater treatment and processes.
  • An understanding of environmental legislation and regulatory controls.
