Role Overview:

Your primary objective is to envision and implement innovative financing strategies for solar projects. You will operate independently, leading complex transactions with minimal oversight. The solar industry benefits from a unique set of tax incentives aimed at promoting solar adoption, enhancing domestic manufacturing, and addressing climate change. Collaborating with policy, legal, and tax specialists, you will optimize financing structures to leverage these incentives effectively.

The ideal candidate will possess a proven history of executing large-scale, intricate project finance deals. You should be an inquisitive thinker capable of presenting compelling, data-driven insights while continuously expanding your knowledge. Exceptional analytical skills are crucial for success in this role.

This position offers significant visibility at the executive level, along with a high degree of autonomy and the potential for immediate impact. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, as well as sound judgment, are essential. You will be expected to maintain the highest quality standards in a dynamic work environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Lead the origination and execution of solar loan and tax equity project financings to support residential initiatives.
  2. Assemble and manage cross-functional teams to ensure efficient deal execution and seamless integration post-closing.
  3. Provide updates and insights on transaction progress, risks, and opportunities to senior management.
  4. Design optimal financing structures to maximize profitability.
  5. Establish and nurture relationships with diverse financing partners.
Required Qualifications:
  1. Bachelor's degree in finance, business, economics, or a related discipline.
  2. Over 10 years of experience in project finance, including at least 5 years focused on tax equity.
  3. Outstanding verbal and written communication abilities.
  4. Demonstrated experience managing complex transactions involving rating agencies, legal, tax, and accounting professionals.
  5. Proven capability to navigate ambiguity and lead teams in a fast-paced setting.
  6. Collaborative team player with a strategic mindset and innovative problem-solving skills.
  7. Experience engaging with senior leadership and influencing strategic decisions.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • MBA or CFA designation.
