Role Overview:

Your primary responsibility will be to redefine the approach to solar financing. You will operate independently, leading complex transactions with minimal supervision. The solar industry benefits from a diverse range of tax incentives aimed at promoting solar adoption and fostering a sustainable manufacturing sector in the U.S. Your collaboration with policy, legal, and tax specialists will be crucial in optimizing financing strategies that leverage these unique benefits. Your efforts will broaden our investor network beyond conventional solar financing sources, paving the way for new business opportunities at SunPower.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Originate and oversee solar loan and tax equity project financings to bolster the residential sector.
  • Assemble and manage cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution and integration of transactions.
  • Provide updates and insights on transaction progress, risks, and opportunities to senior management.
  • Design and implement optimal financing structures to enhance profitability.
  • Establish and nurture relationships with diverse financing partners.

Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you should possess:

  • A Bachelor's degree in finance, business, economics, or a related discipline.
  • Over 10 years of experience in project finance, including at least 5 years focused on tax equity.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • A proven history of managing intricate transactions involving rating agencies and financial professionals.
  • The ability to navigate ambiguity and lead teams in a dynamic environment.
  • A collaborative spirit with a focus on developing strategic solutions.
  • Experience engaging with senior leadership and influencing critical decisions.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA or CFA designation.

Compensation:

Our compensation structure reflects the labor market across various U.S. regions. The base salary for this position ranges from $203,300 to $305,000, depending on geographic location and individual qualifications. Additional compensation may include bonuses, incentives, and a comprehensive benefits package, which encompasses health insurance, wellness programs, retirement plans, and paid time off.
