About the Role
Zones, a leading provider of end-to-end IT solutions, is seeking a skilled Field Services Specialist to join our team. As a Field Services Specialist, you will play a critical role in delivering exceptional technical support and services to our customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and support new hardware and software infrastructure to ensure seamless operation and optimal performance.
- Maintain and troubleshoot hardware and software systems to prevent downtime and ensure business continuity.
- Provide technical support to users with varying levels of IT knowledge and competence, ensuring that they receive timely and effective assistance.
- Act as a liaison between our infrastructure team and customers, ensuring that their technical needs are met and exceeded.
- Travel to customer locations, requiring a flexible work schedule and occasional overnight stays.
- Operate company vehicles safely and efficiently.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the team's goals and objectives.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent; Associate's Degree preferred, with at least 2 years' experience in PC systems, related peripherals, structure cabling, and common software programs and Operating Systems.
- Familiarity with standard Windows O/S and Office suites.
- Ability to accurately perform inventory and asset recording, and complete paperwork as required by customers, including vendor warranties.
- Ability to perform final configuration tasks on customer premises.
- 2+ years' experience with desktop hardware.
- 2+ years' experience with structure cabling.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability and willingness to travel, including weekend departures, off-hours travel, and frequent overnight stays.
- Valid driver's license.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
