Role of the Advanced Practitioner

The Advanced Practitioner will deliver direct patient care within the inpatient environment, collaborating closely with a multidisciplinary team of specialists in noninvasive, interventional, structural heart, electrophysiology, and heart failure medicine.

The ideal candidate will possess the ability to identify urgent diagnostic information and communicate critical findings to physician colleagues promptly.

In conjunction with a licensed physician and adhering to the scope of practice, the Advanced Practitioner will prescribe, dispense, and administer therapeutic interventions. A passion for cardiology and adaptability in a dynamic healthcare setting are essential attributes for this role.

Shift Details: Full Time Day Shift – 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with one weekend per month, no overnight shifts.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner (APRN) or Physician Assistant Master's Program
  • Licensed or eligible for licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in Connecticut
  • Experience in cardiology is preferred
  • New graduates are encouraged to apply
