Role of the Advanced Practitioner
The Advanced Practitioner will be responsible for delivering direct patient care within the inpatient environment, collaborating closely with a team of specialists in noninvasive, interventional, structural heart, electrophysiology, and heart failure disciplines.
The ideal candidate will possess the ability to identify urgent diagnostic information and effectively communicate with physician colleagues in a timely manner.
In collaboration with a licensed physician, the Advanced Practitioner will have the authority to prescribe, dispense, and administer therapeutic and corrective measures, adhering to the scope of practice and collaborative relationships established within the organization. A strong passion for cardiology and adaptability in a rapidly evolving environment are essential.
Work Schedule: Full Time Day Shift – 40 hours – Monday to Friday, with one weekend per month required, no night shifts.

Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner (APRN) or Physician Assistant Master's Program
- Licensed, or eligible for licensure, as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in the state of Connecticut
- Experience in cardiology is preferred, but new graduates are encouraged to apply
