Role of the Advanced Practitioner
The Advanced Practitioner will deliver direct patient care within the inpatient environment, collaborating closely with a multidisciplinary team of specialists in noninvasive, interventional, structural heart, electrophysiology, and heart failure.
The ideal candidate will possess the ability to discern urgent diagnostic information and communicate effectively with physician colleagues.
In partnership with a licensed physician, the Advanced Practitioner will have the authority to prescribe, dispense, and administer therapeutic and corrective measures in accordance with their scope of practice. A passion for cardiology and adaptability in a rapidly evolving environment are essential attributes for success in this role.
Work Schedule
Full Time Day Shift – 40 hours – Monday to Friday, with one weekend per month required; no night shifts.

Qualifications
• Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner (APRN) or Physician Assistant Master's Program
• Licensed, or eligible for licensure, as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in Connecticut
• Experience in cardiology is preferred
• New graduates are encouraged to apply
