Logistics Coordinator Job Description

As a Logistics Coordinator at New England Wire Products, Inc., you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth flow of goods and materials across the country. With a diverse client base and a fast-paced environment, this position requires a highly organized and detail-oriented individual who can effectively coordinate logistics for outbound and inbound orders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Scheduling and Freight Management: Coordinate with production teams to ensure timely delivery of goods, manage freight schedules, and oversee the loading and unloading of shipments.
  • Customer Service and Communication: Provide exceptional customer service to clients and internal teams, responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a timely manner.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain accurate inventory levels, track shipments, and ensure that all necessary documentation is completed and filed.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with the production team, sales team, and other departments to ensure seamless communication and coordination.
  • Process Improvement: Identify areas for process improvement and implement changes to increase efficiency and productivity.

Requirements:

  • Logistics Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in a logistics or supply chain role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with clients, internal teams, and external partners.
  • Organizational Skills: Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • ERP System Knowledge: Familiarity with ERP systems and shipping vendor sites, with the ability to learn and adapt to new systems.

Work Environment:
