About the Role

Cincinnati Insurance Company, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Field Claims Representative to join our team. As a Field Claims Representative, you will be responsible for investigating and evaluating multi-line insurance claims, ensuring accurate settlements, and providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough claim investigations, gathering information and evidence to support claims decisions
  • Interview insureds, claimants, and witnesses to gather information and assess damages
  • Evaluate claim facts and policy coverage to determine liability and settlement amounts
  • Inspect property and auto damages, writing repair estimates and reports of findings
  • Prepare reports of findings and secure settlements with insureds and claimants
  • Utilize claims-handling software, company car, and mobile applications to adjust losses in a paperless environment
  • Provide superior and professional customer service, responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a timely manner
Requirements
  • Availability and communicativeness during regular business hours
  • Desire to learn about the insurance industry and provide a great customer experience
  • Ability to work unsupervised, with minimal supervision
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with insureds, claimants, and colleagues
  • Excellent problem-solving, negotiation, organizational, and prioritization skills
  • Preparedness to follow-up with others in a timely manner
  • A valid driver's license
Preferred Qualifications
  • One or more years of claims handling experience
  • AINS, AIC, or CPCU designations preferred
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required
