Job Summary

This position is responsible for delivering high-quality respiratory care services to patients in various settings, including emergency, neonatal, pediatric, geriatric, and critical care. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a commitment to patient safety and satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer respiratory care procedures as ordered by physicians, with a focus on specialty areas.
  • Monitor mechanical ventilation, administer medications, and perform patient assessments.
  • Understand the implications of hemodynamic monitoring and blood work results.
  • Provide education and training to patients and healthcare teams.
  • Participate in department in-services, meetings, and patient care rounds.
Requirements
  • Graduate from a two-year AMA-approved School for Respiratory Care.
  • Passing score on the NBRC entry-level examination.
  • Current Oregon State Respiratory Care license.
  • Current AHA BLS certification.
  • Current AHA ACLS, PALS, NRP within three months of hire.
