Respiratory Therapist

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Respiratory Therapist to join our team at ProMedica Bay Park Hospital. As a key member of our Respiratory Care Department, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and education to patients of all ages, from infants to geriatric patients.
Key Responsibilities- Perform prescribed therapeutic and diagnostic procedures, including general care, critical care, emergency care, and diagnostic procedures.
- Initiate, manage, and wean invasive and non-invasive ventilation, as well as airway management and suction.
- Respond to rapid responses and emergency codes, and perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and airway management.
- Collect and analyze blood samples, and perform continuous and/or non-invasive monitoring.
- Provide educational needs of patients on disease-specific processes, tobacco cessation, and respiratory care services provided.
- Assist with clinical instruction of respiratory care, nursing, medical students, and residents, as needed.
- A graduate of an accredited respiratory therapy program and maintain credential as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC).
- Licensed to render respiratory care services by the respective state(s) of practice – Ohio and/or Michigan.
- Current BLS certification, with ACLS, NRP, and PALS certification recommended and may be required at some business units.
