Job Summary:

This position is responsible for providing safe and competent respiratory care as ordered by physicians, with a focus on specialty areas such as emergency, neonatal, pediatric, geriatric, and critical care. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of mechanical ventilation, medication administration, patient assessment, and hemodynamic monitoring.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver high-quality respiratory care procedures as outlined in the department policy and procedure manual.
  • Maintain accurate and complete documentation of all respiratory care procedures.
  • Verify respiratory care physician orders and initial, date, and time orders after verification.
  • Provide accurate and complete reports and update patient profile cards to reflect current clinical status.
  • Attend and participate in department in-services, meetings, patient care rounds, and mandatory hospital meetings.
Requirements:
  • Graduate from a two-year AMA-approved school for respiratory care with a passing score on the NBRC entry-level examination.
  • Current Oregon State Respiratory Care license.
  • Current AHA BLS certification.
  • Current AHA ACLS, PALS, NRP within three months of hire.
