Key Responsibilities:

  • Efficiently manage the loading and unloading of trailers
  • Ensure proper handling of merchandise and equipment to prevent damage
  • Organize and label pallets, placing them in designated areas
  • Conduct inventory checks based on shipping documents during loading and unloading processes
  • Support drivers in the loading and unloading of goods
  • Perform routine inspections on forklifts
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the dock area
  • Stack products safely and in an orderly manner
  • Timely submission of reports and necessary information
  • Execute basic arithmetic operations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
  • Assist supervisors in training new employees and volunteers
  • Load and secure shipments following established protocols
  • Implement safe and efficient freight handling techniques
  • Regular attendance is essential
  • Other assigned tasks as needed

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of one year experience operating forklifts
  • Experience with pallet jacks
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and overtime
  • Experience in a freezer/cooler warehouse environment
  • Adherence to company policies and procedures
  • Ability to complete tasks efficiently and effectively
  • Foster teamwork and collaboration

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in warehouse operations within the transportation sector, particularly with companies like Amazon, FedEx, or UPS
  • A strong desire to thrive in a dynamic environment while collaborating with industry leaders
