This position is based in Michigan and offers a competitive hourly wage of $14 to $25, paid biweekly.

The Banquet Operations Manager will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient operations of the hotel's banquet events during the morning and afternoon shifts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all aspects of banquet events during morning shift, from set up to clean up
  • Ensure prompt and professional service is provided to all guests
  • Train and supervise banquet staff, ensuring they are following hotel and industry standards
  • Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate delivery of food and beverages to guests
  • Communicate with event planners and clients to finalize event details and ensure satisfaction
  • Monitor inventory and supplies, and submit orders when necessary
  • Resolve any guest complaints or issues promptly and professionally
  • Enforce safety and sanitation regulations to ensure a safe and clean environment for guests and employees
  • Assist with set up and breakdown of banquet rooms as needed
  • Complete administrative tasks such as creating event schedules, completing payroll, and maintaining event expense reports

Requirements:

  • 12 years of previous experience in a banquet or restaurant supervisory role
  • Knowledge of fine dining and banquet service procedures and standards
  • Ability to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as needed
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong leadership and customer service abilities
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office and event planning software preferred
  • Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time and lift up to 50 pounds
  • Must have reliable transportation to and from work
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
