Job Summary:
The Banquet Operations Manager at Park Place Hotel is a part-time, individual contributor role within the hospitality and restaurant industry.
This position is based in Michigan and offers a competitive hourly wage of $14 to $25, paid biweekly.
The Banquet Operations Manager will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient operations of the hotel's banquet events during the morning and afternoon shifts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of banquet events during morning shift, from set up to clean up
- Ensure prompt and professional service is provided to all guests
- Train and supervise banquet staff, ensuring they are following hotel and industry standards
- Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate delivery of food and beverages to guests
- Communicate with event planners and clients to finalize event details and ensure satisfaction
- Monitor inventory and supplies, and submit orders when necessary
- Resolve any guest complaints or issues promptly and professionally
- Enforce safety and sanitation regulations to ensure a safe and clean environment for guests and employees
- Assist with set up and breakdown of banquet rooms as needed
- Complete administrative tasks such as creating event schedules, completing payroll, and maintaining event expense reports
Requirements:
- 12 years of previous experience in a banquet or restaurant supervisory role
- Knowledge of fine dining and banquet service procedures and standards
- Ability to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong leadership and customer service abilities
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office and event planning software preferred
- Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time and lift up to 50 pounds
- Must have reliable transportation to and from work
- High school diploma or equivalent required
