Job Overview

Park Place Hotel is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Group Sales Coordinator to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will provide essential support to our Sales Department, focusing on group room block management, group reservations, and customer follow-up.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle a high volume of incoming calls, responding to client inquiries, qualifying needs, and directing communications as appropriate.
  • Manage group room blocks and reservations in the property management system (PMS).
  • Book off-site wedding room blocks and day events for groups under 40 guests.
  • Prepare and distribute weekly resumes to relevant departments.
  • Monitor and distribute incoming sales leads from external sources like Meet Minneapolis and Meeting Broker.
  • Conduct hotel site inspections and assist in client greetings when needed.
  • Run regular reports for sales, catering, and meeting services, including contracts, proposals, and client correspondence.
  • Assist in data entry for leads and RFP bids, redirecting them as necessary.
  • Maintain accurate records for negotiated account rates and production history.
  • Support the team with administrative tasks such as maintaining sales collateral, office supplies, and inventory.
  • Assist other departments in activities related to hotel sales, contributing to an excellent guest experience.
  • Perform additional duties related to hotel operations or sales systems as required.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of two years of administrative experience in a sales environment or equivalent experience in hotel catering or guest services.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, in English.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software.
  • Strong multitasking abilities, with the capacity to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Reliable attendance and the ability to meet hotel standards for grooming and professionalism.
