Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and physically capable General Laborer to join our team at Kapili Construction LLC. As a General Laborer, you will play a crucial role in supporting our roofing crew in various tasks, ensuring the smooth execution of projects.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Assist Roofing Crew: Support the roofing crew in tasks such as material handling, equipment setup, and cleanup, following instructions from the crew lead or supervisor.
  2. Material Handling: Load and unload roofing materials, tools, and equipment onto trucks or job sites, safely transporting materials to designated areas using appropriate lifting and carrying techniques.
  3. Site Preparation: Prepare job sites by setting up safety barriers, scaffolding, and ladders as required, and assist in the installation and removal of protective coverings to safeguard the work area.
  4. Cleanup and Debris Removal: Maintain a clean and organized work area throughout the project, collecting and disposing of debris, packaging materials, and waste materials in a responsible and efficient manner.
  5. Equipment Maintenance: Assist in the cleaning, maintenance, and repair of roofing tools and equipment, reporting any malfunctions or damage to the appropriate personnel.
  6. Safety Compliance: Follow safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries, using personal protective equipment (PPE) and adhering to safe working practices.
  7. Communication and Collaboration: Communicate effectively with the roofing crew and other team members to ensure a smooth workflow, collaborating to accomplish project goals in a timely and efficient manner.
  8. Learn and Develop Skills: Take advantage of learning opportunities to gain knowledge and develop skills in various aspects of roofing, seeking guidance from experienced team members and actively participating in training programs.
Requirements
  1. Physical Stamina: Possess the physical ability to perform physically demanding tasks, such as lifting heavy objects, climbing ladders, and working in various weather conditions.
  2. Work Ethic: Demonstrate a strong work ethic, reliability, and a willingness to take on various tasks as assigned, maintaining a positive attitude and exhibiting adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
  3. Team Player: Work well as part of a team, showing cooperation and effective communication to achieve project objectives.
  4. Safety Consciousness: Display a commitment to safety practices and guidelines, following all necessary safety precautions and using appropriate PPE.
  5. Valid Driver's License: Hold a valid driver's license with a clean driving record (if applicable).
  6. Roofing Experience (Preferred): While prior roofing experience is not mandatory, any previous experience in the roofing industry would be advantageous.
  7. High School Diploma or Equivalent: Possess a high school diploma or equivalent qualification.
