Solar Performance Technician

Sunrun is seeking a skilled Solar Performance Technician to join our team. As a key member of our Field Performance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective operation of our solar energy systems.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage and schedule service and warranty-related work to ensure timely completion and high-quality results.
- Collaborate with the Electrical Foreman, Construction Supervisor, and Branch Manager to allocate labor resources and prioritize tasks.
- Provide training and development opportunities for Field Service Technicians and Field Communications Technicians.
- Lead regular meetings to align and train the local field service team on best practices.
- Support the onboarding and training of new team members.
- Exceed defined goals for field performance key performance indicators, including turnaround time, experience rating, and average dispatches completed.
- Assist with other tasks, including inspections and site audits, as assigned.
- 1-3 years of previous field construction or solar experience required.
- PV design or PV electrical experience preferred.
- High School diploma required.
- Valid state or local Electrical Journeyman certification or license.
- Knowledge of the NEC and applicable codes and standards.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong computer skills.
- Electrical/PV Installation Knowledge: Working knowledge of current NEC codes, ability to interpret single line drawings and PV systems from roof to meter.
- Ability to transport materials and equipment to complete assigned job tasks (up to 50 pounds frequently and up to 100 pounds with assistance).
- Ability to work on rooftops with various angles and surfaces, requiring frequent bending, twisting, squatting, climbing, kneeling, crawling, turning, standing, and balance.
- Ability to climb ladders.
- Ability to work in outdoor weather conditions, including excessive noise, extreme heat, extreme cold, wet environment, and humidity.
