Position Summary

The Valet Parking Attendant plays a crucial role in delivering exceptional service by creating a welcoming atmosphere for guests. This position involves guiding vehicles safely and efficiently while managing parking spaces in line with company standards. As the first point of contact, the Valet is responsible for upholding the highest level of customer service and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities
  • Welcome guests with a friendly demeanor and provide efficient valet services.
  • Inspect vehicles for pre-existing damage and inform guests accordingly.
  • Record essential guest and vehicle information while securing keys.
  • Assist guests requiring special accommodations.
  • Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles and document any notable features.
  • Designate parking locations and issue vehicle claim checks to guests.
  • Report any security concerns or potential issues affecting guest vehicles.
  • Understand the legal implications of valet operations.
  • Assist guests with luggage as needed.
  • Respond to emergencies promptly when required.
  • Maintain a high standard of customer service, being attentive to guest needs.
  • Address guest inquiries effectively and resolve complaints within the scope of authority.
  • Keep the valet area organized and presentable.
  • Provide accurate pricing information for parking services.
  • Utilize a golf cart to assist guests with their luggage.
Qualifications
  • Strong customer service orientation and commitment to excellence.
  • Able to work collaboratively in a team environment and independently.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to pass an airport security clearance.
  • Strong motivation and accountability.
  • Excellent time management and communication skills.
  • Proficient in guest service and hospitality.
  • Effective problem-solving and listening abilities.
Experience and Education

Minimum of 1 year in the hospitality sector, with experience in customer service preferred.

Licensing Requirements

Must possess a valid in-state driver's license and be able to pass a motor vehicle record background check.

Physical Requirements

Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions. Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods, as well as lift and move luggage frequently.

Reporting Structure

This position reports to the Assistant Valet Manager or Valet Manager.
