Position Overview:
The Biostatistics Center, a prominent research facility affiliated with The George Washington University, is currently seeking a dedicated full-time Research Assistant. This role is integral to the NIH-funded study focused on identifying risk factors for Type 2 Diabetes in youth.

Key Responsibilities:
The Research Assistant will engage in various essential tasks, including:
  • Conducting thorough data validation and quality assurance checks, ensuring accuracy through meticulous editing and auditing processes.
  • Designing and facilitating training sessions for research staff, ensuring all team members are well-equipped with necessary knowledge and skills.
  • Assisting in the development and management of the study's website, providing technical support and content oversight.
  • Maintaining comprehensive study documentation, including data collection instruments and procedural manuals.
  • Acting as a liaison for study subcommittees and working groups, which includes preparing meeting agendas, documenting minutes, and fostering productive discussions.
  • Coordinating the acquisition and distribution of research materials, including vendor interactions as required.
  • Possessing a detailed understanding of the research protocol and associated documents to guarantee compliance with study objectives.
  • Monitoring regulatory submissions and approvals related to the research study.
  • Collaborating with programmers and developers to enhance and test features of the web-based data management system.
  • Participating in organizational committees focused on data management and website development.
  • Performing additional duties as assigned, ensuring flexibility and adaptability in support of the research team.

Qualifications:
Applicants should possess a BA/BS in a relevant field, with the degree conferred by the commencement of the position.

Compensation:
