Role Overview

The primary responsibility of this role is to oversee, maintain, and develop 3D models within a centralized library for all OTECH projects and programs. Collaborating closely with the engineering team, you will ensure that modeling requirements are met efficiently. This position involves managing configurations and data for both Department of Defense and commercial systems, as well as participating in web-based data applications and document management.

Key Responsibilities

Essential Duties:

- Comprehend life cycle management and end-of-life criteria for library components.
- Assess the inventory needs for COTS library hardware, creating, maintaining, and updating parts as necessary.
- Provide technical evaluation and support for OTECH's COTS library.
- Adapt to shifting priorities and manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
- Possess knowledge of 3D modeling and design standards.
- Exhibit self-motivation and the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Understand ANSI Y14.1 drafting standards.
- Demonstrate proficiency with CAD tools such as Solidworks, AutoCAD, and Altium.
- Be open to learning Digital Engineering and model-based definition (MBD) to fulfill customer requirements.
- Appreciate the importance of time and schedule management.
- Exhibit strong writing, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Collaborate effectively with customers and team members.
- Communicate comfortably across various platforms.
- Be a proactive individual capable of working closely with diverse teams to resolve challenges.
- Additional responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

Required:

- Proficiency in Solidworks (or equivalent design software such as Creo, AutoCAD).
- Experience with web-based data applications and data management.
- Strong time and schedule management skills.
- Proven knowledge through successful performance in a related role.
- Understanding of the principles, practices, and procedures relevant to the field of specialization and related engineering disciplines.
- Training in Microsoft Office and SharePoint.
- Ability to implement ANSI/EIA 649 standards.
- Experience in an ISO-9000 rated environment, adapting to a dynamic and demanding atmosphere.
- Capability to obtain security clearance.

Desired:

- 3-5 years of experience with advanced SolidWorks modeling and configuration.
- CSWP Solidworks Certification.
- Familiarity with Solidworks PLM software.
- Experience with SharePoint.

Additional Information

This position offers a hybrid work model, requiring occasional commuting to a designated office based on business needs.
