Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Environmental Health and Safety Specialist III to join our team at Veracity. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing strategies and programs to ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local Environmental Health and Safety (EH&S) regulatory requirements and organizational EH&S and Workplace Safety (WPS) policies and standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement EH&S programs to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and organizational policies and standards.
  • Conduct risk assessments and develop strategies to mitigate hazards and risks in the workplace.
  • Provide training and education to employees on EH&S policies and procedures.
  • Investigate and report on EH&S incidents and near-misses.
  • Develop and maintain EH&S policies, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements.
  • Stay up-to-date with changing EH&S regulations and standards.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health and Safety, Natural Science, Engineering, Emergency Management, or related field.
  • Minimum three (3) years of experience in environmental health and safety, risk management, or directly related field.
  • Healthcare Environmental Manager Certificate within 24 months of hire OR Industrial Hygienist Certificate within 24 months of hire OR Health Safety Professional Certificate within 24 months of hire OR Safety Professional Certificate within 24 months of hire OR Associate Safety Professional Certification within 24 months of hire.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Environmental Health and Safety, Natural Science, Engineering, Emergency Management, or related field.
  • Five (5) years of experience in environmental health and safety, risk management, or directly related field.
