POSITION SUMMARY:

The Guest Service Host and Cashier is responsible for maintaining a vibrant atmosphere, seating patrons in the dining area, and managing transactions as a cashier. This role ensures a seamless flow of guest seating and efficient handling of financial transactions.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:
  1. Skilled in operating cash registers and point-of-sale systems across all dining outlets.
  2. Maintains expected service standards, ensuring accurate revenue handling and compliance with internal controls during system downtimes.
  3. Communicates effectively in a clear, professional, and friendly manner with guests and team members.
  4. Accurately processes and delivers complimentary items to guests.
  5. Recognizes guest service tiers and prioritizes service accordingly during cash and seating operations.
  6. Ensures tables are clean, properly arranged, and ready for guests prior to seating.
  7. Creates a positive impression when welcoming guests and during their departure.
  8. Presents menus to customers and informs them of any specials or featured items with engaging language.
  9. Engages guests in conversation during seating and transaction processes.
  10. Addresses and resolves any inquiries or concerns from guests.
  11. Acts as a role model for fellow employees, consistently representing the standards of Caesars Entertainment.
  12. Follows all regulatory, departmental, and company policies.
CASHIER DUTIES:
  1. Maintains a clean and organized work area and assists in keeping the dining room tidy.
  2. Adheres to all safety regulations and guidelines.
  3. Ensures assigned areas are clean and free from debris.
  4. Maintains appropriate food levels to guarantee high-quality products for all guests.
  5. Exhibits a consistently positive attitude and greets everyone with a smile.
  6. Performs all job functions in accordance with departmental and company standards as directed by management.
HOST RESPONSIBILITIES:
  1. Effectively manages guest reservations and bookings.
  2. Controls the flow of business and seats guests in a systematic manner, regardless of volume.
  3. Collaborates closely with servers, bussers, and management to ensure food quality and guest satisfaction.
  4. Prepares for accommodating large groups or events accurately.
  5. Maintains cleanliness and organization in the designated work area, including the host stand, and assists other staff as needed.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
  1. Performs other assigned duties as required.
  2. Accurately gathers essential information from guests to relay to management.
  3. Maintains the ambiance and atmosphere of the dining area.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
  1. Preferred experience of three months in a Host/Cashier role.
  2. High School diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.
