Key Responsibilities:
- Personal Care: Provide assistance with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting, ensuring the highest level of dignity and respect for our residents.
- Environmental Care: Maintain a clean and safe living environment, including light housekeeping and laundry services, to promote a sense of comfort and well-being.
- Behavioral Support: Recognize and respond to changes in resident behavior, reporting any concerns to the Wellness Director to ensure prompt attention and support.
- Recreational Support: Plan and implement activities that promote socialization, engagement, and enjoyment, catering to individual interests and preferences.
- Nutritional Support: Assist with meal preparation, serving, and hydration, ensuring residents receive adequate nutrition and hydration.
- Infection Control: Demonstrate knowledge of infection control practices, taking proactive measures to prevent the spread of disease and infection.
- Communication: Maintain open and respectful communication with residents, families, and colleagues, ensuring a positive and supportive team environment.
- Professional Development: Participate in ongoing education and training to enhance skills and knowledge, staying up-to-date with best practices and regulatory requirements.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in a related field preferred.
- Previous experience in a care-giving role, preferably in a long-term care setting.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing time efficiently.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on empathy and compassion.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
