Overview:

The Project Development Manager is accountable for meeting the project sales objectives by effectively carrying out the responsibilities outlined below. This role involves appointing, directing, and supporting sales channels across various industries, key vertical markets, EPCs, system integrators, and OEMs within the designated territory.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support sales channels across all industries and key vertical markets.
  • Establish project funnel targets for all regions and sales channels; responsible for project targets within the region.
  • Collaborate with sales managers to create pursuit teams, conduct stakeholder analysis, and devise strategies to secure projects.
  • Lead the project process encompassing qualification, development, negotiation, and execution with all involved parties.
  • Oversee projects exceeding $250,000 in value.
  • Ensure sales managers and channels maintain their project funnel and achieve targets.
  • Deliver presentations to customers and executives as necessary for project pursuits.
  • Utilize sales and marketing software and CRM tools for effective sales planning and strategy development.
  • Complete E-learning modules as required by management.
  • Review technical and sales communications for clarity and comprehension.
  • Travel approximately 60% within the assigned region and as needed to corporate offices or other locations.
Supervisory Responsibilities:

This position does not have direct reports but requires collaboration with sales managers, representatives, and distributors across North America and Latin America.

Qualifications:

To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience; a minimum of four years in a related field.
  • In-depth knowledge of project pursuit and process control concepts, gained through education and practical experience.
  • Proficient in business application software, particularly MS Office and CRM tools.
  • Must possess a clean driving record and be legally permitted to drive.
  • Ability to obtain necessary certifications such as a US Passport and TWIC card.
Physical Demands:

The physical requirements of this role include the ability to travel within North America and internationally, visit customer sites, and perform tasks that may involve climbing ladders as necessary.
