Job Summary

At Analogic, we are seeking a highly skilled Senior Bid Manager to lead the development and submission of compelling bids and proposals for aviation security projects worldwide. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in driving the company's growth by leveraging your expertise in proposal development, project management, and relationship building.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate bid and proposal requests and execution plans with sales personnel, third-party sales representatives, and internal functional support personnel to ensure timely proposal resources and information distribution.
  • Gather, translate, digest, assimilate, highlight, distribute, and maintain relevant customer solicitation documentation and internal bid and proposal work products throughout the proposal process.
  • Lead the end-to-end development and on-time submission of high-quality bids and proposals for aviation security products and projects, ensuring alignment with customer requirements and company objectives.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including sales, product line management, engineering, operations, contracts/legal, and finance, to create fully responsive proposals.
  • Create, monitor, and continuously improve an efficient and effective bid and proposal process.
  • Evaluate existing and new automation tools/processes and promote cost-effective use of technology to continuously improve the bid and proposal process.
  • Organize and implement bid review/approval templates and processes.
  • Keep current a historic reference price book and generate and maintain a current proposal content library.
  • Ensure product configurations (part numbers) are documented for eventual sales order entry.
  • Create and maintain a competitive matrix and evaluate global B&P resource requirements.

International Engagement
  • Manage the bid and proposal process for domestic and international projects, understanding and navigating diverse regulatory environments and cultural considerations.
  • Coordinate with regional teams and third-party sales representatives and distributors to ensure proposals meet local requirements and preferences.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 8 years of proven experience in managing bids and proposals, preferably in the aviation security or defense industry.
  • Strong project management skills, attention to detail, and ability to meet tight deadlines with high-quality deliverables.
  • Strong command of the English language, with exceptional reading, interpretation, proposal writing, and editing skills.
  • Expertise in MS Word, Teams, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat, with the ability to learn and utilize new communication tools and web portals quickly and effectively.
  • Exceptional relationship management and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with all levels within and outside the organization.
  • Proven ability to lead through influence, quickly building rapport and support for schedule-driven objectives within a cross-functional team.
  • Familiarity with Explosives Detection Systems (EDS) and associated products is highly desirable.
