Senior Fund Accountant Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Fund Accountant to join our team at Virtual. As a Senior Fund Accountant, you will be responsible for managing complex fund accounting, investment accounting, and financial reporting for a variety of funds.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage fund accounting and investment accounting for a range of funds, including private equity, close-ended funds, and credit/debt funds.
  • Prepare and review financial statements, including capital statements and IRR calculations.
  • Assist with quarter-end processes, including pricing, allocations, and distributions.
  • Work closely with the assistant controller to manage books, records, and reconciliations.
  • Take capital calls and investor requests, and provide timely and accurate responses.
Requirements:
  • 1-3 years of experience in complex fund accounting and investment accounting.
  • Public or private experience with closed-end funds, credit/debt funds, and other complex investment structures.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; MBA preferred.
  • CPA certification preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a changing environment.
