We are the largest private provider in Texas for both emergency and non-emergency transport services to hospitals, nursing facilities, and contracted 911 communities. Our services also include non-medical transportation for patients who do not meet stretcher criteria. A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A PARAMEDIC SUPPORT SPECIALIST

As a Paramedic Support Specialist, you play a crucial role in our operations. You will respond to both emergency and non-emergency calls around the clock. As a first responder, you will navigate various emergency vehicles under all types of conditions, including adverse weather, heavy traffic, and rural terrains. To ensure efficient and safe responses, you will utilize GPS systems, consult map books, and adhere to verbal or written directions while maintaining close communication with dispatchers, EMS teams, and other first responders. You will be diligent in following all local and state driving regulations.

Upon arrival at the scene, you will provide direct patient care in accordance with your qualifications and under the guidance of the Medical Director's protocols. This may involve lifting, carrying, transporting, and extricating patients, sometimes without assistance. You will maintain professionalism while interacting with various external agencies, including police and fire departments, and will deliver excellent customer service to patients and the public. Accurate and timely completion of patient care reports, billing information, and other necessary documentation is essential.

To be prepared for rapid responses, you will ensure that vehicles and equipment are always ready for use. This includes completing daily vehicle and supply checklists, assisting with restocking, decontaminating equipment, and performing general readiness tasks. If any issues arise with vehicles or supplies, you will promptly document them. Additionally, you will assist with general housekeeping and special projects as needed. QUALIFICATIONS FOR A PARAMEDIC SUPPORT SPECIALIST
  • High school diploma
  • Certification as an EMT in the State of Texas
  • CPR certification
  • Training in Pre-Hospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS) or International Trauma Life Support (ITLS)
  • Valid Texas driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 125 lbs independently
  • Strong customer service skills
Previous experience in emergency care is preferred, but various factors will be considered. Are you an effective communicator in English, both verbally and in writing? WORK SCHEDULE

This position offers flexible scheduling options, including 8-hour, 12-hour, 24-hour, and 48-hour shifts. While attendance is crucial, we strive to accommodate set schedules for those pursuing education. For instance, if you have classes on specific days, we can adjust your work schedule accordingly.
