Adecco US, Inc. is looking for a dedicated Cost Accountant to join our finance team. The role is crucial in analyzing inventory costs across various business sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage cost accounting processes and methodologies within the company's ERP system.
  • Develop product Bill of Materials (BOMs), routing, and item master data to establish and maintain standard costs.
  • Generate monthly reports and analyses to reconcile and validate Cost of Goods Sold (COGS), gross margin, purchase price variance, and inventory movements.
  • Coordinate physical inventory planning and lead inventory accounting activities to enhance work order cost tracking and inventory accuracy.
  • Assist with general accounting tasks, including balance sheet reconciliations and closing activities.
  • Supervise the Inventory Control Specialist and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Utilize strong organizational and communication skills to collaborate across departments, including operations and product development.
  • Analyze and communicate cost and expense variances to management.
  • Collaborate with management on projects aimed at time and material savings.
  • Evaluate current costing processes and recommend improvements.
  • Create and maintain various reports as requested, including weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports.
  • Contribute to the ongoing development and implementation of the cost accounting inventory control process.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the manager.

Qualifications:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams).
  • Strong analytical skills and capabilities.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently.
  • Experience with ERP systems such as Sage, Oracle, or NetSuite is preferred.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including vlookups and pivot tables.
  • Theoretical knowledge of FIFO inventory methods.
  • Customer service-oriented with a strong ethical foundation.
  • Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
  • Able to identify process deficiencies and implement improvements.
  • Maintain professionalism and strong communication skills at all times.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in cost accounting and ERP systems.

Preferred:

  • Experience in cost accounting and analysis.
  • Completion of relevant cost accounting courses.
  • Ability to train team members.
  • Experience with NetSuite is highly preferred.
  • Strong communication skills.

Education:

Associates or Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Relevant experience may substitute for education on a year-for-year basis.

Compensation: $70,000.00 to $80,000.00 per year.
