Overview of the Construction Cost Analyst Role at TEKsystems

Key Skills Required:
  • Experience in cost estimation
  • Background in commercial construction, industrial, chemical, gas, mechanical, and semiconductor industries
Position Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with proposal teams to strategize and implement pricing proposals for new business opportunities
  • Coordinate the review of pricing proposals prior to client submission
  • Assess subcontractor performance and analyze service/product offerings
  • Engage with client contract managers and procurement specialists to address contractual issues
  • Assist project managers with budget management
  • Ensure all documentation is complete and easily accessible
  • Provide guidance on contract stipulations and interpretations
  • Timely review and process technical reports and deliverables
  • Track scope modifications and ensure adherence to contract obligations
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant contractual procedures
  • Prepare and distribute cost reports
  • Review change orders and invoices for precision
  • Offer procurement services and manage contractor buyouts
  • Participate in cost meetings and supply cost-related information
  • Conduct earned value analysis and monitor project expenditures
  • Contribute to the development of project control systems
  • Analyze project control needs
  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction, Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or equivalent relevant experience
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills
  • Familiarity with Primavera or Microsoft Projects is preferred
  • Knowledge of electronic take-off systems and construction cost estimation
  • Robust skills in cost management, scheduling, and project planning
  • Proficiency in industry-specific software and applications
  • Aptitude for mathematical calculations and use of relevant software
  • Professional certifications such as PMP, RICS, CCE, or equivalent are advantageous
