Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Learning Specialist I to join our OR/Surgery Department team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing clinical education and training to team members, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to deliver high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement education plans to enhance clinical competence and improve patient outcomes
  • Collaborate with nursing leadership and other stakeholders to identify education needs and priorities
  • Design and deliver training programs to meet the needs of OR/Surgery Department team members
  • Assess and evaluate the effectiveness of education programs and make recommendations for improvement
  • Participate in quality and safety initiatives to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and organizational standards
  • Provide coaching and mentoring to team members to enhance their clinical skills and knowledge
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest clinical research and best practices in OR/Surgery Department
Requirements
  • Graduate from an approved school of nursing with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree
  • Current licensure as a registered nurse in the State of Florida required
  • National specialty certification in area of practice must be obtained within two (2) years of hire
  • Two (2) years of acute care hospital experience required
  • Previous OR/Surgery experience within the last 2 years highly preferred
