Key Responsibilities- Role Summary
- The National Security Program is seeking a Military Forces Analyst with expertise in analyzing adversarial naval capabilities within the U.S. INDOPACOM area of responsibility.
- Primary Duties
- The Military Forces Analyst will collaborate with a team of analysts, linguists, and collectors to evaluate high-priority, time-sensitive materials, producing intelligence and developing sensitive analytic products to support U.S. Navy and INDOPACOM maritime objectives. Specific tasks include:
- Conducting comprehensive all-source analysis, including link analysis and order of battle tracking, utilizing large datasets and translated open-source intelligence alongside classified information through advanced analytic methodologies.
- Generating finished intelligence reports that comply with Intelligence Community Directives (ICD) 203 and 206.
- Identifying collection deficiencies to assist in managing and directing the establishment of new collection requirements.
- Addressing internal and external Requests for Information (RFIs).
- Facilitating meetings (including classified), preparing agendas, tracking action items, and distributing meeting minutes.
- The Military Forces Analyst will collaborate with a team of analysts, linguists, and collectors to evaluate high-priority, time-sensitive materials, producing intelligence and developing sensitive analytic products to support U.S. Navy and INDOPACOM maritime objectives. Specific tasks include:
- Education / Certifications:
- A Bachelor's Degree in National Security, Regional Studies, or a relevant technical field (preferred) OR a High School Diploma with 8 years of experience in a similar role.
- Experience
- A minimum of eight (8) years of experience in Military Intelligence or within the Intelligence Community.
- At least eight (8) years of experience in intelligence production (analytic tradecraft) adhering to ICD 203 and ICD 206 standards in a time-sensitive context for dissemination to Department of Defense and Intelligence Community stakeholders.
- Experience where the primary focus was on intelligence analysis related to the armed forces of target nations.
- Proven proficiency in effective oral communication (speaking, briefing).
- Demonstrated proficiency in using MS Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote).
- Preferred Experience
- Familiarity with intelligence analysis tools and databases (such as DataExplorer, Cultweave, Voltron, Multi-Media Message Monitor (M3), Analyst's Notebook, Quantum Leap Intelligence Exchange (Qlix), Terrorist Identities Database Environment (TIDE), and Tripwire Analytical Capability (TAC)).
