Position Summary:

The Teaching and Learning Services Specialist plays a vital role in enhancing early childhood education by providing targeted technical assistance to educators in childcare settings. This position focuses on coaching and modeling best practices to improve child development outcomes and elevate the qualifications of the early education workforce. The Specialist is expected to uphold the values of diversity, equity, and inclusion in all interactions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage in collaborative planning and reflection with educators to foster effective teaching practices.
  • Support the creation of nurturing classroom environments that promote positive interactions between teachers and children.
  • Assist in the development of individualized Technical Assistance Plans to meet specific educational goals.
  • Conduct classroom assessments using established evaluation tools to monitor progress.
  • Facilitate professional development workshops aimed at enhancing educator skills and knowledge.
  • Maintain comprehensive records of services provided, including observations and training sessions.
  • Stay informed on current trends and research in early childhood education and development.
  • Represent SSFC in community collaborations and initiatives to further organizational goals.

Qualifications:

Candidates should possess a minimum of an Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field, with preferred qualifications including a Bachelor's Degree. Relevant experience in early childhood education settings is essential, along with certifications in classroom assessment methodologies.

Physical Requirements:
