Role Overview:
Mammography Technologist PRN
Mammography Technologists are responsible for performing mammograms that generate diagnostic images. This role combines scientific expertise and technical proficiency with effective patient communication to ensure high-quality patient care and valuable diagnostic insights.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain precision in positioning and exposure techniques.
  • Gather and document patient data in the required format.
  • Utilize consistent methods to collect relevant patient information.
  • Confirm patient identity and verify the requested procedure.
  • Assess patient pregnancy status when necessary.
  • Ensure proper patient preparation for the procedure.
  • Select appropriate imaging techniques.
  • Foster patient confidence and cooperation through clear communication and guidance.
  • Provide accurate explanations and instructions tailored to the patient’s understanding.
  • Address and document patient inquiries and concerns regarding the procedure, referring medical questions to the physician.

Qualifications:
Required Education and Experience:
  • Graduation from an accredited radiology program with certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in Mammography (ARRT (m)).

Preferred Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Radiologic Sciences.
  • 1-3 years of experience as a technologist.
