Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM

Community Impact:

AdventHealth Riverview is enhancing healthcare access and innovation in southern Hillsborough County with the establishment of a new hospital, set to open soon. This facility will feature 82 beds initially, with plans for future expansion to accommodate 202 beds.

This significant investment also includes a state-of-the-art Medical Office Building, providing essential healthcare services including emergency care, cardiovascular treatment, digestive health, urology, orthopedics, and women's health.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver exceptional patient care within the medical imaging department. Conduct high-quality imaging procedures while being attuned to patient needs. Adhere to safety standards in radiation practices. Exhibit leadership qualities and serve as a role model for fellow technologists. Act as a clinical resource for the team and ensure adherence to current practice standards. Provide leadership and support to the imaging staff during shifts.

Contributions to the Team:

· Execute imaging procedures while ensuring safety for all involved. Follow all regulations related to radiation safety, minimizing exposure to the lowest possible levels.

· Generate quality images promptly and accurately.

· Prepare patients for examinations.

· Offer guidance and information to patients and their families regarding procedures, addressing their physical and emotional needs.

· Assist patients during examinations and ensure proper positioning.

· Monitor patients and equipment throughout procedures, documenting any unusual occurrences and recording patient conditions.

Qualifications:

Essential Skills and Experience:

· Minimum of two years of experience in Interventional Radiology technology, with prior leadership experience preferred.

· High School Diploma or equivalent.

· For facilities facing personnel shortages, certification must be obtained within 24 months of hire; otherwise, the following certifications are required: Registered Technologist in Radiology, Vascular-Interventional Radiology, or Cardiovascular-Interventional Radiology - R.T. (R)(VI) (ARRT) or R.T. (R)(CV) (ARRT).

· Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

· Surgical Assistant or Surgical Technologist Registry required upon hire unless performing duties under another active license or certification.
