Job Summary

CDR Maguire Inc., a national multi-disciplinary engineering firm, is seeking a highly skilled Senior Construction Manager to oversee construction projects and ensure they are executed in accordance with contract documents and regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage day-to-day construction oversight, monitor contractor performance, schedule, responsiveness, and effectiveness.
  • Ensure construction is executed in accordance with contract documents, RIDOT, and FHWA regulations.
  • Manage contractor to maintain project cost, schedule, and quality.
  • Manage inspection staff and the delivery of daily inspection reports in accordance with RIDOT requirements.
  • Act as liaison to design staff to respond to Contractor RFI's and review of shop drawings.
  • Provide technical review of construction plans and specifications and project changes for constructability and practicality.
  • Manage the contractor payment process and recommend adjustments as required to monitor the contractor.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Provide a positive attitude to establish competence and pride in the company.
  • Perform other duties which may be required which are commensurate with the position.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in Business, Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or a closely related field.
  • Minimum 7 years of Resident Engineering or related experience preferably with a State Department of Transportation, or Minimum 5 years with Engineer in Training certification, or Minimum 1 year with Current RI PE license.
  • Proficiency with Headlight and/or Bluebeam software preferred.
