The Commercial Banker II is a key role at CrossFirst Bank, responsible for building a customer base of new clients through prospecting, community involvement, and proactive business development activities. This position requires a strong understanding of commercial banking products and services, as well as the ability to network and build centers of influence.
Key Responsibilities- Drive New Business Development: Consistently and effectively call on potential clients to identify and acquire new business opportunities.
- Meet Performance Goals: Meet or exceed all performance targets related to the identification, solicitation, and acquisition of new clients.
- Structure Products and Services: Develop and present customized solutions to maximize opportunities for the Bank and meet individual client needs.
- Track Prospecting Efforts: Utilize sales management software to track and analyze prospecting activities.
- Provide Comprehensive Portfolio Management: Analyze customers' financial positions and credit worthiness, establish and negotiate terms, costs, repayment methods, collateral requirements, and rates.
- Ensure Credit and Compliance Requirements: Ensure that all commercial loans meet credit/financial requirements for lending quality and compliance as determined by the Bank.
- Follow Loan Documentation and Review Processes: Adhere to all processes and procedures for loan documentation and review as outlined by the Bank.
- Build Strategic Partnerships: Develop and maintain trusted, positive relationships with business owners and other decision makers.
- Communicate Complex Data: Analyze, synthesize, and communicate complex data, financial data, and related issues in an accurate, objective, and straightforward manner.
- Provide Extraordinary Service: Interact with internal and external clients and provide exceptional service.
- Maintain Confidentiality: Maintain confidentiality and adhere to CrossFirst Bank policies and procedures.
- Advanced Knowledge of Commercial Banking Products and Services: Possess a strong understanding of commercial banking products and services, including credit analysis, underwriting, and treasury management.
- Networking and Relationship Building: Demonstrate the ability to network and build centers of influence.
- Successful Experience in Commercial Lending: Possess successful experience as a commercial loan officer in a high-performing commercial bank environment.
- Effective Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Exhibit strong interpersonal skills with the ability to cultivate long-term relationships and influence others internally and externally.
- Education and Formal Credit Training: Possess a Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and/or work experience, and formal credit training is highly preferred.
