Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Cardiac Care Nurse to join our dynamic team at Saint John Hospital. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care to individuals with cardiac conditions, including monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and educating patients and their families about treatment plans and self-care practices.

Responsibilities

- Monitor patient's cardiac status, vital signs, and telemetry data to detect any changes or abnormalities
- Administer medications as prescribed by physicians, including intravenous drugs, cardiac medications, and pain management medications
- Perform assessments of patient's cardiac status, including physical assessments, review medical histories, and evaluate symptoms
- Provide education to patients and their families about cardiac conditions, treatment plans, medications, lifestyle modifications, and self-care practices

Qualifications

- Current and valid state RN License
- Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current
- Completion of Critical Care Course preferred
- Basic Arrythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire
- Current ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current
- Minimum of one year as a staff RN in acute care hospital, critical care preferred
- CCRN Certification preferred
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
