Perioperative Nurse Specialist

At Prime Healthcare, we are committed to delivering high-quality patient care. As a Per Diem Registered Nurse in the perioperative environment at St. John's Hospital, you will be part of an award-winning team dedicated to our core values of quality, compassion, and community.
We specialize in 24/7 emergency care, senior behavioral health, skilled nursing, ambulatory care, including outpatient surgical services, imaging services, rehabilitation services, and more. Our hospital is certified as an Advanced Disease-Specific Care for Acute Stroke Ready Hospital from The Joint Commission and the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association.
$65,000 - $90,000 per year, depending on experience, with opportunities for overtime and bonuses. We offer a competitive salary, comprehensive benefits, and a supportive work environment that promotes professional growth and development.
The ideal candidate will have strong clinical skills, effective communication, and a commitment to providing high-quality patient care. Key responsibilities include coordinating patient care, leading and supervising OR Technicians, collaborating with various departments, ensuring compliance with regulations and policies, and actively participating in Performance Improvement initiatives.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- A current and valid state RN License
- A current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current
- A current ACLS (AHA) certificate within 30 days of hire and maintain current
- A current PALS (AHA) certificate within 30 days of hire and maintain current
- A minimum of one year previous Perioperative experience or on-the-job training
- Certified Nurse OR (CNOR) Certification (AORN) preferred
- A Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
