MEP Superintendent Job Description

Aristeo is seeking a highly skilled MEP Superintendent to lead our construction projects. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for supervising and directing field teams to ensure the safe and successful completion of projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate subcontractors to ensure compliance with contracts
  • Act as the first point of contact on projects, providing professional, courteous, and respectful service to all stakeholders
  • Assume responsibility for productivity, efficient use of materials and equipment, and contractual performance of the project
  • Provide technical input to the estimating process and monitor worker and subcontractor safety
  • Investigate accidents and complete accident reports
  • Conduct morning huddles, safety meetings, and progress meetings as required
  • Act as a safety champion, enforcing safety rules and leading by example
  • Review project scope, plans, and specifications, and ensure compliance with safety, security, and environmental regulations
  • Implement safety and security programs, including setting up office and laydown areas
  • Establish project survey and base layout control and benchmarks
  • Expedite and provide direction to staff for self-performed work, ensuring quality, cost, schedule, and client satisfaction goals are met
  • Maintain a positive working relationship with customers, AE, subcontractors, labor, and other construction team members
  • Provide daily field reports and maintain required project documentation
  • Handle labor relations and jurisdictional disputes, and assist with closeout requirements

Requirements:

  • 8+ years' experience as a Superintendent on industrial projects, leading large, multi-union crews
  • Extensive knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems
  • Experience working with MEP trades and knowledge of civil/site, architectural/finish work
  • Excellent communication, organization, interpersonal, and supervisory skills
  • Ability to read, understand, and interpret plans and specifications
  • Thorough working knowledge of OSHA and safety, security, and environmental rules and regulations
  • Experience working with Primavera, Prolog, and Viewpoint
  • Excellent problem-solving and planning skills
