Job Description

We are seeking a Certified Peer Support Specialist to join our team as a Recovery Coach - Behavioral Health Specialist. In this role, you will work closely with clients to provide support, guidance, and education to help them achieve their recovery goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement individualized recovery plans with clients.
  • Provide one-on-one support and guidance to clients.
  • Assist clients in accessing community resources and services.
  • Participate in team meetings to discuss client progress and develop strategies for improvement.
  • Lead group sessions and workshops to educate clients on recovery skills and techniques.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED or equivalent.
  • 1 year of experience working with the mental health & substance abuse populations.
  • North Carolina Peer Support Specialist Certification required or willingness to be certified.
  • Valid drivers' license and automotive insurance.
  • CPR, First Aid, NCI and/or role-related certification required/ or willing to acquire within 60 days of hiring.
