We're seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Manager, Retirement Plan Administration to join our team at Tyndal Federal Credit Union. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for assisting the department manager in developing the team and administering Member Retirement enhancements and maintaining relationships with the educational community.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain relationships with third-party contracted partners, including data processors, legal counsel, broker/dealers, and National Benefit Services.
- Respond to Member/Participant inquiries via written correspondence, respond to Member comments or suggestions, and assist Members/Participants in person and over the phone.
- Oversee the compliance of credit union retirement plan accounts, research fees, tax statement problems, and correct appropriate forms.
- Provide technical guidance to branch/departments, school districts, and superintendents on retirement products, monitor regulatory and policy changes, and take appropriate action to ensure compliance with outside regulators.
- Supervise team members directly, including selection, training, performance appraisal, and work allocation. Responsible for scheduling staff.
- Help establish, communicate, and achieve the credit union's goals and standards, ensuring these are fully communicated to and understood by all department staff.
- Identify areas to streamline department and credit union operations.
- Comply with all government regulatory policies, internal policies and procedures, audit standards, and remain current on and informed of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and apprise staff.
- May act in the capacity of the Manager in their absence.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Comply with regulatory compliance and assigned training requirements, including but not limited to BSA regulations corresponding to their specific job duties. Failure to do so may result in disciplinary and other employment-related actions.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent years of experience preferred.
- 3-5 years of previous related experience required.
- 1-3 years previous supervisory experience required.
- Previous experience working with retirement products required.
- Securities and Insurance Licenses preferred.
