Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Preschool Teacher Assistant to join our team at Grace Harbor Church & School. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and families, and will be able to provide exceptional support to our teachers and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist teachers in the classroom, ensuring the health and safety of all children and staff members
  • Welcome and assist students, parents, and visitors in a professional and friendly manner
  • Perform administrative duties, including copying, scanning, and mailing
  • Oversee inventory for office and classroom supplies
  • Provide administrative support to different departments as needed
  • Supervise children who are ill or waiting in the office for parent pick-up
  • Administer first aid to children when necessary
  • Maintain regular attendance and punctuality
  • Work closely with the Director to assist with student files, tours, special events, and enrollment packets
  • Assist with planning and participating in special events, such as Back-to-School Nite, Open House, and Vacation Bible School
  • Ensure that all office procedures, including registration and student files, are compliant with Title 22 at all times
Requirements
  • 12 ECE units and an additional 3 IT units and 6 Administrative Units
  • Minimum 6 months teaching and administrative experience in a licensed childcare facility
  • Proficient in Word and Excel
  • Proven office management, administrative, or assistant experience
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to multitask and prioritize work
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with children, parents, staff, and administration
  • CPR and First Aid certified
  • Physical and TB Test clearance
  • Proof of DTaP, MMR Immunizations - Influenza
  • Valid Mandated Training Certificate and Pesticide Training Certification
  • Submit to Live Scan and receive criminal clearance from the Department of Justice FBI and attached to Guardian
  • Versed in Title 22
  • 3 letters of reference
