Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Registration and Eligibility Specialist to join our team at the University of New Mexico - Hospitals. As a key member of our Admitting and Registration department, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely registration of patients, verifying insurance coverage and benefits, and coordinating financial assistance programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Verify patient demographics and insurance coverage
  • Coordinate financial assistance programs and applications
  • Ensure accurate and timely registration of patients
  • Verify required referrals and prior authorizations
  • Provide excellent customer service and communication with patients, families, and healthcare providers
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • 2 years of experience in patient registration or a related field
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks
Working Conditions

This is a full-time position working in a hospital environment. May be required to travel to various work sites and rotate work shifts.
