Job Summary

The Neonatal APP Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the department, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care by professional and support staff. This role requires strong leadership and clinical skills to maintain clinical competency as an APP and assure that performance standards are met.

Responsibilities
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement standards to meet departmental goals
• Develop and contribute to departmental policies and procedures
• Support clinical research projects as appropriate
• Contribute to and monitor expense and capital budgets
• Ensure resources are scheduled to provide patient care in a cost-effective manner
• Oversee quality improvement and safety initiatives for area of responsibility
• Coordinate staff representation on departmental, hospital, and community task forces, committees, quality teams, and advisory groups
• Ensure the orientation of department staff to role functions, policies, procedures, and information systems
• Assist and direct staff in identifying their own learning needs and help meet those needs
• Coordinate networking and continuing education opportunities
• Collaborate with clinical faculty in planning and coordinating student clinical experiences

Qualifications
• Master's degree in Nursing or PA studies, required
• Nationally certified and licensed in Ohio as an APRN or Physician Assistant, required
• 4 years of previous APP leadership experience in a complex setting, required
• Experience in a magnet certified academic medical center with demonstrated program development and teaching skills, preferred
• Previous clinical experience as an APRN or PA in a pediatric facility, preferred
